Drivers license required for travel?

Hey everyone! Going to Tokyo in November and unfortunately just lost my coin purse with my I.D inside 😩 😭 So I’m doing everything to get that before I leave. If for whatever reason I don’t get it in time, will this stop my at any point from getting to Japan? Thank you!
