My ex is posting lies about me online, is there anything i can do?

Location: Az

Okay, some context here: I am semi popular online. I wouldn’t say i’m famous by any means, but i have a decent amount of followers. I was in a long term relationship with a guy, long distance but we would visit each other frequently. Anyways, this guy has more followers (a lot)online, quite a few people follow him and a large portion of them are apart of the community we are in.

Now here’s the issue; he’s lying about me on his platform. He’s not naming me directly, but anyone that followed our relationship knows that he’s talking about me. The niche we are apart of isn’t very big and most everyone knows each other. So that means rumors spread like wildfire between the people apart of it. And the even BIGGER issue; the lie is about non consensual acts. I haven’t responded, i mean i’ve directly ignored it all. If i were to make a response then i’m the person who’s publicly calling someone who claims to be a victim a liar.. not a good look! There’s other lies too.. like that i hit him? These accusations are extremely serious and have affected my personal life. He’s also created fake numbers to text me and harass me! Unfortunately, i’ve deleted the text long just trying to forget about him and stop the temptation to look at his account to see what new bullshit is posted.

But i’m curious if there’s legal action i can take to stop the spread of lies. I was considering a defamation lawsuit, but he’d just post that online too and i don’t think i even have enough evidence. This situation has given me anxiety of making friends or posting or doing literally anything??? I’ve never been apart of a situation like this and i feel absolutely sick to my stomach. He knows i would never do that but he swore when we broke up that he would ruin my life. I have been doing extremely well like IN LIFE, but it’s like the better i do, the more lies he stacks. Is the only solution ignoring it until he gets bored? Or can i legally get him to stop?
