Joining considering all that is happening

I am still studying my asvaab and planned to start my process next year so my girlfriend can finish her school in the mean time and the closer it approaches it seems like everything is falling apart inside, i try to stay updated but every other news headline makes it harder for me to keep my hope. I will join and serve but I simply ask for advice from the inside as to how others feel and if it’s still worth it considering the circus show our gov has been putting up
