Laptop Dock Question

I have a laptop dock that does display port and charging over the same USB-C cable, I believe the total wattage supplied by the power brick is 130W.

I have a gaming laptop that does not support charging over USB-C, it has its own power brick. It does however support display port over USB-C.

Can I use this dock with this laptop, or with the type-c also supplying power, will that cause an issue with my laptop? I thought about trying it, but don’t really want to fry my laptop because I was curious and don’t know the answer.
