RG35XX won’t boot, now it won’t turn on

I’ve had my RG35XX and it’s been a fun little portable device. I love the size, the button layout and I’m ok with how the OS lets me play with things.

A week ago I tried turning it on and could not get past the Garlic OS screen. I looked the issue up online and it looks like my SD card may no longer be working (it’s the original SD card that came with the unit.). I have my new SD cards ready to go but now the screen won’t turn on. The power light flashes green once and then shuts off. If I charge the unit, the screen turns on but it doesn’t display the battery image or anything.

I am able to plug in the SD card into my laptop and read the files without any issues.

Am I looking at a bad battery, the SD card no longer being good, or both?
