Mini(ish) Pax Mini review (from someone with a much nicer vape)

My main vape is the E-Nano XL that my wife got me a couple of years back. Recently there was a sale on the Pax Mini for 50 USD (63 CAD with a 10% discount) on their website. The sale is gone it seems though. Always wanted something really pocketable and unnoticeable so I had to try it.

Cons :

• Absolutely needs a specific full very tight pack. Doesn't really work with half pack as the herb contracts and will "fall" from the bottom and will not make contact with the oven walls. As it's conduction only, this reduce the vaporization significantly to the point it's somewhat of a waste of time. Maybe would work with half pack with a spacer or something (like the half lid on the Plus).
• Rather long to finish a session, 8 pulls easy. You have to take your time with it.
• Small clouds, so it's not as satisfying to use. Might impact the placebo of your perceived high.
• Not the most efficient. A full oven is 0.25g and 0.25g in the E-Nano will get me higher. It feels like 20% less efficient. Can't microdose.
• Not good at back to back bowls. Therefore, not good for higher tolerance folks. If one bowl doesn't do the job, it's not the right vape for you.
• Have to keep quite clean for a good experience.

Pros :

• When packed right, it will get you high. It's really not as bad efficiency-wise as some people say when used right.

• When it's clean, the taste is surprisingly quite good.

• VERY pocketable and VERY sneaky.

• The ramping up temperature works quite well. I think it's the right temperature for flavor, and I would use something similar if I had temperature control.

• Doesn't smell as much as people say but I do keep it very clean.

• Since you can't inhale big clouds as with other vapes, MTL (mouth to lung) inhales work well, it's pretty smooth and overall a very relaxed experience. Quite a bit joint like.

Overall, for my use case and tolerance, it's a lot better than I anticipated. It's great for when you're outdoor walking, chill hike, reading a book, stuff like that.

I don't think it's very good as someone's only vaporizer as it's quite limited in what it can do. As a second one for a specific use case, I think it's pretty darn good honestly for 50$. Full price it's a harder pill to swallow and only make sense if you want something that you can easily put in your pocket without it taking too much space.
