Glycolic acid or a blend?
Considering adding an occasional use of GA to my routine. I like to keep it simple and I do use differin a few times a week, but I still get breakouts, and have some dry skin and stubborn marks from an area where I keep getting breakouts on my cheek.
Because my skin is on the drier side I don’t want to overdo it with actives, but I’ve seen some people have success alternating between glycolic acid and a retinoid. I’ve also seen some say that sometimes a blend of glycolic and lactic acid works well for them. Any suggestions? Also considering lactic acid as my skin is dry, but I’ve heard glycolic is better for breakouts and can increase collagen production. Since I’m used to the differin, I’m not as worried about being sensitive to GA.
