Arisu and Ann’s ’destiny’ was to become a citizen or joker.

When Ann injected him with the drug that ‘kills’ him for 2 minutes, he overcame that small allocated time period. Realistically, he was supposed to die after the 2 minutes was over but Ann saved him from Banda when she leaped towards him. The fact Ann saw Banda tells us that she has the ability to travel between the real world and the Borderlands, even if she doesn’t know yet herself. Her and Arisu both overcame the odds.

(Ann when she was resuscitated even though she technically died by the hands of the KoS in the last episode of season 2 and Arisu when he survived past the 2 minutes and managed to bring Usagi back).
