Water Fountains in Brooklyn

Hello! I’ve been training for NYCM on the course route pretty frequently, and usually stop around mccarren park, both sides of queensboro bridge, and Central Park at water fountains to fill up my water bottle during long runs.

I ventured to the earlier part of the course route on Thursday morning and planned to stop at water fountains along Lafayette Ave and 4th Ave and each one wasn’t working. Yet my usual fountains still worked.

Could anyone help explain the water fountain situation in that neighborhood or have any ideas why they might not have been working? Looking for more intel as I plan future runs.
