What is the Sacramento region's Best Asset? And its Biggest Challenge? (As originally asked by Abridged.)

Attendees were asked these questions during Wednesday's Livability Summit conducted by Valley Vision and SACOG. Local news source Abridged posted a brief report and video yesterday.

The written part said some are happy their finances have improved over 5 years. Others, however, say their mental state has not.

Assets stated in the video include:

  • Wonderful people
  • Good climate and natural spaces
  • Slow Food movement and attention to health
  • Midtown

Quoting some challenges:

  • Affordability, especially housing for young adults
  • Balancing growth with open space
  • Plans that aren't followed to completion
  • Not enough coming together, everybody's in their own little spectrum especially decision makers

So now it's your turn. How would you answer "Best Asset, Biggest Challenge" for the Sacramento region?
