Is Work With Artists a scam?

I recently became eligible for Work with Artists. The first challenge I did was a dance challenge, and the 15 most-liked videos got a monetary reward up to $960.

I was thrilled that my video blew up and climbed the ranks all the way up to first place!

I thought it was weird that the challenge deadline kept getting extended, going from saying there were only 2 days left to then saying 5, for example. But the challenge officially ended two nights ago, and I was still in first place. Everything was good!

The next morning, I received a notification saying my post was denied from the challenge due to suspected fake engagement. I did have some bot comments, but the video has over a million views, so I figured that was normal. The video had been approved for the challenge and in good standing for over 11 days at this point! I’ve submitted appeals but have heard nothing back. I want the $960 of course, but I highly doubt I have a chance at collecting it now.

This is all setting off alarm bells for me. Does anyone else have experience with this, whether positive or negative? I’m wondering if this is something purposeful or just an unfortunate fluke.
