Do you think planned obsolense is possible with Switch?

Now that Switch 2 is out and probably a lite version of it coming soon, I am becoming worried about "planned obsolense" through updates to make people stop using the old Switch and buy the new one.

Some manufacturers like Apple have been exposed doing this to their devices through updates, so do you think we can trust Nintendo not to resort to something like that?

Is there a way to avoid updating the Switch, other than never connecting to WiFi?
