Why does my weapons have more DPS on the PTS?

First off, the new map is friggin GORGEOUS; Well done devs, well done!! It's now my favorite vibe on the map.

Secondly, why am I getting a noticeable DPS increase on the PTS? I'm just kinda curious on the mechanics of it because my furious Plasma Castor slaps on the regular server, but on the PTS it's hitting even harder. Is it related to less lag or something? (Sorry if that sounds stupid, but it's the only thing I could think of.)
