Lube as primer? Is this true? If so which is best?

whenever i have a makeup related question i turn to the drag community but it seems there isn’t an “Ask Drag” sub or smth so sorry to bother you here ! anyways.

i hear some drags use lube as a primer and that many have found it to be a very good primer at that. hence my question: what has proven to be the best lube as a primer for you ? ALSO is this an urban legend or is it a real thing ?
