Am I the only one who thinks that online assessments are not helpful neither a good tool of recruiting judgment?

I did multiple of them the point is I scored 97% in one of them and the supposedly wrong one was partially true! But I didn’t get an interview! I said ok no problem.

The other one they send me the email saying “you have the potential to do the job but someone scored higher than you!”

I mean they always state something like that (there is no right answer but answer with what are you inclined to), only to bite you back on it, like seriously?

Like I understand recruiters want reasonable answers but this is not it, I’m struggling with job searching already to spend hours on these just to fail because the company wants specific answers! Or to interview some who scored 0.25% higher than me! Dismissing experience, CV, skills, etc.

Even their employees will act differently on the spot.

I do think recruiters must start really take responsibility to think about how they are using this tool because it is not working! At least use it to supplement your recruiting process not make decisions because of it.

Opinions and advice will be accepted thank you.
