If a friend is recording a lesson when they’re not supposed to, what do I do?

I’ve got a friend recording the lecture and while they’re not really hiding the fact they’re recording, the course outline says we’re not allowed to, since it would constitute as academic misconduct. I know this school is really strict on misconduct, so I was wondering how liable I am, since I’m in a group chat where they’re sharing the recordings. I’ve asked, and it’s neither an official accommodation nor did the prof sign the permission agreement. Honestly, I don’t even know if the prof knows. I’m very worried that they’ll get caught and, as someone who has access to those audio files, I’ll be held liable too. I’ve never opened those files, but they’re in the group chat. Maybe I’m overreacting but I worked really hard to get into this school and I don’t want to risk anything.

What should I do? I don’t really want to leave the group chat since it has several other classmates that we could plan study sessions with, and they’re a really stubborn individual so convincing them wouldn’t work. But I also don’t want to risk expulsion over something like this.
