So, I live in Warangal , on a busy road.
I have been observing since last 2 years , I just can't express the amount of noise pollution we are experiencing on our street.
So basically during ganesh chathurdhi we mentally prep ourselves that our sleeps are going to be comprimised.
On the day the festival commences, the idols are brought.
I swear a few years ago, this day was noisier but man , these days, I just can't even put into words.
So on this day imagine : fireworks+dj and some people are even pairing it with those band drums. This start in the morning and lasts the entire night
Again speakers are put on all those days till visarjan.
Now , the visarjan day, Iam just gonna say we don't sleep.
It's 9-11 days of sound pollution for us.
Dusshera has come.
Right now there are 2 dj's ,one of which has drums combined with it, and a neigbour on the divider grass and plants blasting firworks+one durga idol still not gone to visarjan playing songs+i live by a busy busy road (horn+horn+horn).I swear it's serious.I am concerned about this and I still don't get why is everyone so complacent.
On shivaratri , every street light pole is tied a mike and music is blasted allll the time, this starts couple of days before the actual shivaratri
On the shivaratri night, trust me , the noise is all night, they literally play music all night.
On wedding seasons, its the same
Have a listen to that video, the condition seems inhumane. I really feel humans shouldn't live on this noise.
Can anyone help me out in this. A couple of months ago Hyd took some measure of banning this(well it's obviously going on I guess but atleast they started seriously talking about this).
Could anyone point out to what could be done!
