Perry Mattfeld (Ricky) is married to Mr Butt Fumble himself, Mark Sanchez!

After the first two episodes I was smitten and looked up her IMDb and Wikipedia entries and was surprised to learn that the actress who plays the coaches daughter and potential Chad Powers love interest, Perry Mattfeld, married former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez in 2023.

Sanchez is widely known for a play in 2012 that became known as the Butt Fumble. He was playing for the Jets and they got blown out by the Patriots 49-19.

The butt fumble was just 1 of 3 Jet fumbles that led to Patriot scores - all 3 happening in just 52 seconds of game time in the 2nd quarter.

Coincidence?
