PA, USA - Pro Bono Legal Help
Location: Lancaster, PA
Anyone here knowledgeable with information on where I can get pro bono legal assistance for a landlord-tenant dispute over excessive charges against my security deposit in Lancaster, PA?
I have reached out to the Lancaster Bar Association & their voicemail states they do not offer free or reduced-rate legal services. They’re offering a $50 30-minute consultation (after which the lawyer will charge their regular rates.)
MidPenn Legal Services said they cannot help because our case isn’t an eviction case.
I called Legal Aid Hotline & they took my information down. I’m not sure what to expect or if they will actually contact me. For $30, they said they will give access to a list of attorneys, free legal forms/docs, & “Lisa the legal Ai”. They also mentioned how a lawyer who takes on the case might not even charge until the case is won.
Because I recently moved, I’m in a dire financial situation where I cannot even afford the $30-$50 fee. That is why I’m looking for pro bono legal help.
Anyone in PA aware of resources I can use? Anyone in law school with ideas on who can help?
