Parisians - Incredibly Nice!

Discussion

Traveling for a few days in Paris as an American. Parisians have been VERY nice and welcoming. Cafe workers chatting me up, offering tourist advice (and sometimes free treats). Drivers are very respectful of pedestrians crossing. The streets seem clean and safe - nice to see kids walking alone on the streets after school. I even asked someone for directions who turned out to be a Senator - he offered a personal tour of the Senate!

I’ve been a respectful visitor, always greeting in French and smiling. It seems to go a long way with the locals. Thank you Parisians!
