How would one go about redeeming Catnap?

This question has been nagging at me all week cause Catnap clearly doesn’t wanna kill the player but he’s devoted to the prototype. In a au or a fic I just can’t think of how Catnap could ever be convinced to switch sides.

The closest thing I can think of is maybe the Player could offer to fix his voicebox since that’s something even the Protoype (seemingly) couldn’t do. But I dunno, it just doesn’t feel like enough.
