Expo SDK 54 – Drawer.Navigator Error: useLegacyImplementation not available with Reanimated 3

Hi everyone,

After upgrading my project from Expo SDK 53 to SDK 54, I started getting this error:

ERROR [Error: The `useLegacyImplementation` prop is not available with Reanimated 3 as it no longer includes support for Reanimated 1 legacy API. Remove the `useLegacyImplementation` prop from `Drawer.Navigator` to be able to use it.]

The strange part is that I never used useLegacyImplementation in my code. My project worked perfectly with SDK 53, and the error only started appearing after the update to SDK 54.

I suspect this might be related to a dependency issue (maybe @react-navigation/drawer or React Native Reanimated), but I can’t find where useLegacyImplementation is being injected.

Has anyone else experienced this after upgrading to Expo SDK 54?

• Which versions of @react-navigation/drawer and react-native-reanimated are compatible with SDK 54?
• How can I remove this prop if I never added it in the first place?
