B4 is game of the year for me... I'm just blown away - amazing work Gearbox!

First of all when it comes to the issue of performance... I have what I'd say is an up to date PC build for 2025. It isn't the latest and greatest parts, but it's not trying to punch above its weight. (geforce 4070 and AMD 7800) Personally I only had performance trouble after last weeks patch but that was easily fixed. That was just my experience.

The gameplay feels as good as Borderlands ever has. I havent had this much fun zipping around maps destroying enemies with a whole toolbelt of destructive options since Doom Eternal.

Visually speaking the Borderlands art style is fully realized in a sharp, unblemished beauty not held back like previous era's of cel shaded games were because of lacking processing power. These days there's nothing stopping a dev from rendering characters that look like living illustrations, sans the blurriness of the old days.

As an artist I love to see it. Illustrations living and breathing and killing on my screen. Amazing.

!When I fought Vile Lictor!< ... Holy Shit my eyeballs. It was so, so fucking beautiful I can't get over it. I want to go back and fight him over and over just to view those colors.
