Why not going up

I’m a broke college student and brand new to investing and wanted to keep it safe by buying a stock that is on a big dip. I saw this stock and bought it a few days ago on a dip but it is just staying here… I saw the graph and usually when it dips it recovers immediately the next day. Do you guys think there’s any reason why or should I just be patient
