Feelings of chronical loneliness, how to cope
hey y'all
quite long text, thx in advance for reading
im f24 from western germany.i graduated high school in 2019 and worked for a year in 2020, i started my psychology studies. i studied my bachelor's in the Netherlands and my Master’s which I have almost finished in Northern Germany. I moved back to my parents house after 4 years at the end of August.
i suffer from what i call chronical loneliness. i am a single child, my parents are immigrants we don't have any relatives in Germany, my mom's sister and her kids live in italy. we get to see them like 1x a year.
I never had friends at school. through my gap year i met a quite good friend. i also know her bf. during all these years of uni, I've only made like 2 good friends. im realizing that in hindsight, all those othet people i came along well with were rather acquaintances that i never heard from again. when it comes to love, it looks similar. my last relationship traces back almost 7 to 8 years ago. i have daten and gotten know quite a few men, but we never got past acquaintances or casual friendships, those were former roommates or colleagues of mine. i am capable of initiating contact with men that I sympathize with. i gave online dating many tries, but the guy either lives somewhere completely else, ghosts after a while, their actions don't align with their words, they just play me, you name it...
my loneliness sort of exists on different levels, love / family / friends to a certain extent as well. i do try to counteract it: i plan to sign up for martial arts in november, i visit painting classes at the local community college, and i hopefully will get a job at my hometowns uni (already had my application talk)
its this phase of transition that's killing me
