Agent told me to hide past Covid in term insurance. What should I do now for health insurance?
I had Covid quite a while back. About 3 years ago, I purchased a term insurance policy with ICICI. While filling the form, the agent advised me to select “No” for the Covid related question. A medical checkup was done afterward, nothing alarming came up, and the policy got approved.
Now I’m wondering did I make a mistake by stating I never had Covid? The agent was quite insistent, so I went along with it.
I’m currently planning to buy a health insurance policy. Should I disclose that I had Covid (even though I wasn’t hospitalized), or leave it out? The problem is, if I mention it now, it won’t match what I declared earlier for my term insurance.
Looking for some guidance/advice from those familiar with insurance.
