Wait for 12gen ipad

If I purchase this will be my first ipad. I have a windows laptop so this ipad im going to use only for reading some books or taking notes. A big question is that do I need buy now or just wait for 12 gen to come. Because I'm expecting 12gen might have 256gb.

What's your opinion?
