Chinese Sesame chicken was different

I went to a chinese restaurant a week ago with the family and got some sesame chicken. But it was different than other sesame chicken I've had before and had a white creamy sauce, that kind of looked like mayonnaise but wasn't. I've only ever seen it before at one other Chinese restaurant and can't find any recipes online. Anyone have any recipes for that version of sesame chicken? Or maybe more information on it?
