Canada is now one of the top countries for E-2 visa approvals. Are you seeing this trend too?
Over the past few years, Canada has quietly become one of the top countries in the world for E-2 visa issuances. From across the Americas, Canada actually ranks #1.
When I speak with Canadian clients at Visa Franchise, the same themes come up again and again:
- Endless medical wait times
- Limited career opportunities in certain sectors
- Housing crisis
- Harsh winters
- A sense that the Canadian promise is slipping away
The numbers reflect this. Today, more than 820,000 Canadians are living in the U.S. with different types of visas, and emigration from Canada to the U.S. has reached a 10-year high.
It’s clear that more and more Canadians are looking south for stability, opportunity, and a different quality of life. The E-2 visa is often the bridge that makes this move possible.
I wanted to ask you. Are you also seeing this trend?
This month I’ll be in Canada. Attending expos, hosting events, and meeting with people 1:1 who are exploring U.S. options. I expect to confirm much of what I’ve been hearing, but I’d also love to hear your perspective.
I’ll be in Montreal, Calgary, and Toronto. If anyone here would like to attend one of the events or connect while I’m in town, you can check the details through the links!
It would be great to meet some of you in person and continue the conversation!!
Thanks for reading :)
Patrick.
