F26 has been distant for weeks (situationship - no labels, 3 months dating, more than 1 month distant) I am M28

I (28M) have been dating F (26F) for a while. Things were going well, but about five weeks ago she started pulling away. She explained that she needed space because she wasn’t in the right headspace—her ex, who cheated on her two years ago, is getting married, and this has been affecting her. I respected her request and asked for clarity on what it means for us going forward, to which she said she’d need a few weeks.

Since then, her communication has been inconsistent:

When I try to get clarity, she says she “needs a few more days” but hasn’t followed through.

She keeps delaying in-person conversations, often leaving plans vague or pushing them back.

She still interacts on social media, sends casual snaps, and goes out, which seems like she’s trying to keep busy.

When I send messages seeking clarity, she apologizes and acknowledges that she owes me a conversation but doesn’t commit to a time.

From my side, I’ve been patient and given her space, but I feel stonewalled. It’s been difficult to see her living her life while I’m in limbo. I’ve been keeping busy, but I’m unsure how to move forward while my need for clarity isn’t being met.

I’m considering stepping back—muting on socials or taking a break from direct communication—but I also want to ensure that I’ve made an effort before doing so.

What's everyone's take on this?
