Best Dino nuggets, frozen chicken patties and rolls
I have an autistic kiddo who as far as I am aware does not have celiac. I have no reason to believe he is and he has grown at all correct curves. That said I was diagnosed as an adult and have a very small kitchen. He has a very limited diet due to sensory sensitivity that is very gluten heavy. I am still having nutritional deficiency and gi issue after stopping gluten and I am afraid this could be due to cross contamination in my small kitchen. While I’m on a limited budget I’d like to try moving some of his staples to gluten free to at least limit the bread in my house. I’m going to preface these items are not healthy but they are staples right now and he is very picky due to autism. I’m not looking for advice on the health of these items. This is not all he eats and is in nutrition therapy to improve his diet more.
Can anyone recommend the best Dino nuggets, breaded chicken patties and closest to white bread or Hawaiian texture rolls (this one is likely the hardest)? Price is definitely a consideration (poor and celiac is hard) also but if I can find a few affordable dups that could make my life less stressful. He is particular on texture but he has gotten much better with therapy. I was already able to move him to gluten free barilla pasta and he didn’t notice it from his norm. The issue is if I give him a “bad one” I could turn him off the food and I can’t turn him off a protein source.
I’d also welcome any other advice about not cross contaminating myself for any others who may be a caregiver to a gluten eater.
