concrete pour around new pool-need feedback please

I'm hoping anyone can share the slope that was used when they had concrete poured around their pool. We are having a new in ground pool installed and the concrete was poured yesterday. I'm unhappy with the slope from the pool and from the house to the pool. We are planning to put a covered patio between the pool and the house and the slope is 3.5%, which the internet says is too steep to comfortably sit and dine. The slope from the pool to the deck drain is 4% (2" drop over 4'). It is also visibly unappealing. I want to ask for a repour, but we are talking about a lot of concrete and a fight with the contractor. What would you do?
