Hot Flashes & Compression Socks?

I'm 21M, recently diagnosed with POTS. I am also autistic, and thus cannot regulate my body temperature at all. I am constantly wearing shorts, and socks are a no-go since I immediately overheat with them. Despite this, my doctor is adamant that I am to use compression stockings due to my feet swelling so badly while standing. Has anyone else dealt with this? Are there any socks or stockings that may help without overheating? Thanks!
