Oregon nurses.

Seeking advice from any current for former Oregon nurses. I’m a new graduate RN planning on finishing my first year in the ICU. Currently three months in to my ICU residency.

Looking to leave my current state and have been really looking heavily into where I want to work. Hearing Oregon is one of the best states to work in and the unions in Oregon.

Personally I’ve never worked for a unionized system and I’m not entirely sure what the pros or cons even are. All I know is a union fights for it employees.

If I made the decision to full commit to Oregon, what areas and hospitals would you recommend someone to look into? I don’t care to work directly or live directly in the city. I like small cities that allow me to drive 30-40 minutes to work avoiding the city traffic.

I’m planning on taking trips to Oregon in the next couple of months and I’m hoping some Oregon nurses can maybe give me some advice on what hospitals to look into and possible cites to look at.
