Why Must We Pander To Sports?

The newspaper has a sports section. Why does sports-related BS "news" always end up on on the front page of the newspaper? To give the headline writers the ability to write some punny headline when the Saints lose again? I’m so tired of seeing the idiot football news on the cover of the Monday newspaper. Every. Damn. Week. Aren't there more important things that readers need to know about? IMO, The Advocate is doing the community a disservice by dumbing down its reportage of real news. Lazy!
