What makes the moral of the story good?

Currently, I wanna write about overcoming guilt. And for now, I can think of few different ways the story can go:

1. We can be harsher on ourselves than it needs to the point of making false or exaggerated memories

2. You fucked up and you have to claim responsibility

3. You fucked up but it’s oki we all make mistakes tihihihi ✨😇 (jokes aside self acceptance is not a bad moral)

4. Lastly, I can go full on Buddhist monk and say things like “past is nothing but an illusion” or smth

Though I guess this post is more about philosophy than it is about writing. Still, I wanna hear your opinions
