One thing that really impressed me with the casting of the 30s seasons

Not quite sure how she did it but Spillman was really able to filter through the applicants that "just wanted to be on TV/milk the experience for all the itty bits of fame it could get them" vs. those who simply liked the game and wanted to play but had a life outside the show.

I think one thing that really speaks to this is the fact that all the people we were "most expecting to return" from 35-39 we are seeing return (Chrissy, Christian, Angelina, Rick).

Meanwhile, a lot of the contestants we thought were gimmes to return from the 40s Jeff (IMO rightfully) said no to because they were going on other reality shows/trying to become a "reality TV personality."

Big Brother contestants have been doing it for A LONG time so there were definately these people who were applying prior to the new era, I guess Lynn Spillman was impressively just able to filter through them in casting.
