A new type of inflatable that I have come up with: "Squishy houses"

Squishy houses are like bounce houses except that they are squishy instead of bouncy. Squishy houses have the same shape and are of the same size as bouncy houses. This type of inflatable is intended for both relaxation and play in ways that make use of the fact that it is squishy rather than bouncy. I imagine squishy houses being an alternative to bounce houses in all current applications where bounce houses are present

This infographic can be used as a reference for understanding what's explained in this post

Here are some key features of squishy houses

  1. They do not require constant airflow because they are airtight like conventional inflatables

(existing bounce house blowers are repurposed as inflators as shown in the infographic)

  1. They use the same tarp and mesh walls as bounce houses

  2. Squishy houses can have different appearances and themes like bounce houses

  3. There are different types of squishy house like how there are different types of bounce houses

(variants shown in the infographic)

  1. Squishy houses are intended for all ages

  2. Squishy houses come in different sizes like bounce houses

(their are commercial and consumer versions like with bounce houses)

If you have any questions write them in the comments section

Squishy houses would come in different forms like how bounce houses come in different forms

Dry versions

  1. Classic squishy house (same size and shape as bounce houses)
  2. Open top with walls squishy house (shown in infographic)
  3. Squishy slides (shown in infographic)
  4. Squishy obstacle course
  5. Squishy lounge dome
  6. Squishy Maze

Wet versions

  1. Water squishy pad

(A type with a thin water layer across the floor. Users make little puddle-pools when they sit/lie down)

  1. Water squishy slide

  2. Water squishy lagoon

(A large squishy house with different “zones” (lounging pools, splash areas, mini squishy slides)

  1. Water squishy maze

(A crawling maze where the water pools around you in tunnels and corners, making it both splashy and squishy)

Special versions

  1. Toddler squishy houses

(Smaller, gentler models for ages 2–5, with soft pastel designs)

  1. Themed Squishy houses

(Dinosaurs, rockets, jungle, undersea — just like bounce houses, but with squishy play inside.)

  1. Event squishy lounge

(For festivals, conventions, or corporate retreats. Bright, fun exterior, but designed more as a hangout/relax space for adults)

I imagine that squishy houses would have the following advantages over bounce houses

  1. No risk of deflating if blower fails
  2. Less noise due to no constantly running blower and less energetic play
  3. Less risk of injuries

I can see squishy houses being a preferred alternative to bounce houses in all applications due to the reasons listed above.

What do you think? Do you want this to be real? Would you like it?
