Rules timing check: Amy Rose / Moonsilver spear

Looking for some clarity on this interaction please.

Had a disagreement at my LGS this week, I didn't think Amy would make the token because the equipment would have to be already attached to her as she was declared an attacker to get the attack trigger to make the Angel token.

• Amy is already out on the board
• They play Moonsilver spear
• Amy is declared an attacker
• Her ability triggers attaching Moonsilver spear to her.
• Does she make an angel token or not?
