According to this interview with Under The Mayo, after speaking with Kazuhiro Aoyama (RE3 Director) here's some new info for RE fans:

- RE3: Last Escape was changed to be the RE2 sequel during the early development of the game.
- Jill was always considered the main protagonist of this game.
- Capcom was developing RE0 on N64, Code Veronica on Dreamcast, RE3: Nemesis on PS1 and Devil May Cry at the same time.
- Apparently Devil May Cry was inspired by RE3 design and was never RE4's prototype.
- The CGI Team created Nemesis' appeareance.
- The whole ending of RE3 came to be when the game was confirmed as a proper sequel.
- According to Aoyama-san, RE9's concept is "interesting" but he seems a bit frustrated because the atomic bomb on Raccoon City was launched to wipe off the whole city off the map. The only way for him to revisit Raccoon City is "time travel".
