I can't accept my Rogue is ready to be crushed
2016 Rogue SV, 119k miles, bought new, regular oil & transmission fluid/filter changes. Wife's daily driver.
No Codes, runs fine except.....
I'm here out of desperation. I can't find anyone (including dealer) that can give me insight about this issue. I'm in Utah.
The car is in very good condition except it has a 3 to 5 seconds pause whenever you move from P to any gear. After it engaged it runs down the road fine and pulls away from stops just fine. Everything works as expected until you move it back into P.
I purchased a Bluetooth device and paid for the app from CVTZ50. The car looks good except I'm concerned about the low primary pressure of around .31 when the car is in P and running 735 idle. The pressure will increase slightly if I run the RPM up. The pressure also increases a little when the hesitation is over after I've moved it from P to R or D. The degradation count is around 9,500. I did find the car was low on antifreeze so I filled that and the CVT now runs cooler. There's never been a code or light for hot engine temp.
I know there are some very knowledgeable people here. I need their help. I've spent a lot of time studying this situation and I'm stuck. I did a complete drain and fill of fluid and both filters. Old fluid wasn't real dark and nothing serious in the drain pan showing metal flakes. The fluid smelled about like the new stuff I was putting in.
Here's my questions; Is .31 unusually low for Primary Pressure? Is it measured at the inlet or outlet of that solenoid? If a hydraulic pump is failing, would it run and shift normally while driving? Is there anything else I could try doing before giving up?
I have numerous screenshots of the CTV in various situations if that information helps anyone.
I seriously (to the point of paying for someone's lunch) appreciate any guidance or help you can give so I can make a wise decision about my next step. Thank you!
