GOP & GOwrath mini plothole?+ Rant about creighton

(minor spoilers ahead) So there was this scene towards the end of GOP where anni is in the parking lot outside the boxing ring waiting for creigh and she unexpectedly sees ces who is very distressed and ces tries to share something about how she fucked up about something? But creigh enters the scene right as she's about share what exactly happened and she runs away after that. However we never get an explanation for that scene in GOW? Or is it there and I just missed it? Cause I read the entire book while consciously waiting for that scene to happen but it never does. Also in that same scene, I hate how dismissive creigh acts to ces's distress when mentioned by anni. He literally tells anni something like- not to care about others' business? Like ces is the reason him and anni are together. She unknowingly put herself in danger to help him yet he seems to give 0 fucks about her. His reaction would be tolerable towards anyone else but not ces.
