First date is tomorrow night, girl already mentioned she’ll have to leave early for family stuff. Is there a point of even doing this date?

Before i get attacked as a guy who’s just trying to hookup let me explain.

Date is set up at a nice cocktail bar Saturday night. I’m not necessarily trying to hook up but i have an ick, my ick is that i can’t do plans with people who are already making plans around our plan.

Like the whole point of a fun date night at a cocktail lounge is to enjoy the night, not rush things, try and get to know the other person in a chill no stress/obligation environment.

How are we supposed to have fun and enjoy if the girl has to leave 2 hours into the date? Like its essentially a half date. I don’t see the point of spending money so a girl can come “pregame” with me to go do whatever else she is doing late at night “with family”.

Not sure if i am just being a dk or should i just go through with it. I just hate half ass-ing things. I believe any human should give another human their full 100% attention or just give 0% and don’t come. This applies to dates, jobs, family commitments, and everything in life.

What will probably end up happening is after an hour or 2 of $200 drinks she will dip and i will meet up my boys out at some bar. Whats the point of the date then? lol

Someone convince me I’m wrong! Would love a woman’s perspective too.
