Over $17M for "The Meeting"
Of all of the opinions of the SECDEF’s General huddle this week, one thing that I haven’t heard is anyone discussing is the cost. That was a very expensive meeting. In just the command teams alone, it was over $15,000,000. Even at a very conservative support facilities and staff estimated cost of 10%, the total cost to the tax payer is nearly $17M.
I know that every DoD administration has pet projects and ridiculously wasteful spending, but can we at the very least acknowledge that that meeting wasn’t worth $17M and could have definitely been better spent nearly anywhere else.
