I want to move

FAQ

I want to move to a different part of Austin because the area I live in seems un welcoming to people of my color. I live in a nice area off Parmer… but I’ve noticed there’s a lot of people her of a certain culture that are rude and dominante this area…here and they always look at me really weird whenever I go out…they’re kind of always staring at me in disapproval kind of like what are you doing here? :/ and they’re also always walking in the middle of the road so it’s hard to drive in this area. My neighbor who is also like me, said that his little dog approached a lady to say hi and she stomped on his foot really hard and made it bleed. They are also very anti dog and I hate the constant complaint emails about dogs being sent out from our leasing office… even though it’s supposed to be a dog, friendly community…I know my neighbor and his dog personally and he has never bitten or hurt anyone and he’s very sweet. I can’t imagine some rude lady stomping on his foot just because he went up to say hi to her…I just don’t understand these people’s culture. They see dogs as bad. I’m tired of all the weird looks I get whenever I go out for walks… I’ve stopped leaving my house and I miss going outside, but I just feel so uncomfortable here because I’m always getting stared at because I’m not the same color. I just would rather be surrounded by people who are not judgmental towards others who don’t look like them would you recommend moving to Round Rock, Georgetown or Cedar Park, North Austin? What is a nice area with safe nature trails and people who are welcoming and friendly? I’m also trying to stay out of ghetto areas as well please give me advice. I need help.
