How do you deal with drunk belligerent assholes?

Went golfing with my dad for his 70th birthday at NOTL, one of north americas oldest courses in Niagara on the lake. Absolutely beautiful day and course. The guys behind us were seemingly getting annoyed and we offered to let them play through. One guy… obviously drunk started chirping us about my father taking 10 practice swings before hitting and how he’s losing his mind. We were definitely slower playing.. but we were keeping up with the group ahead of us, and any quicker would be hitting into them.

How do you deal with people like this? I’m upset I let it get to me and had some choice words back to them, but who chirps 70 year olds on a 9 hole course? I did report it to the clubhouse and they knew who I was talking about and they suspected outside alcohol. This was a 4pm tee off.

This guy was like 50 and 5’7 on his tippies part of me wanted to throw his ass in the lake.
