**Leo Pilotti: The Adopted Stone Heart**

Born of Italian stone centuries ago, Leo Pilotti was a gargoyle of unusual curiosity and a gentle spirit, qualities that set him apart even in his earliest, still moments. When a wandering French clan discovered the lone, fledgling gargoyle, they saw not an outsider, but a lost soul awaiting a home. Adopted into their ranks, Leo learned the ancient ways of French gargoyles – the art of sentinel stillness, the subtle language of the winds, and the quiet camaraderie shared among those who watch over the world.

Though his skin mimicked the grey stone of his ancestors, and he could remain perfectly motionless for days, Leo possessed a warmth that belied his stony exterior. He developed a fondness for human culture, particularly literature, often spending his silent vigils observing scholars and artists. It's not uncommon to find him in a less formal pose, perhaps even with a curious feline companion, as seen in the second image. He carries a weathered gothic mace for battle, but only as a last resort or if evil or intruders are afoot. It is a symbol of his journey and his role as a watchful, if unconventional, guardian. His glasses, an acquired affectation, hint at his studious nature and keen observation skills. Leo Pilotti is a bridge between worlds, an Italian heart forged in French stone, always observing, always learning, and always ready to stand sentinel.
