The stereotype of Boomers is that they're entitled, self-centered and materialistic. These letter-writers did a great job showing the world the they fit the description! Some choice quotes:

I got mine!

>We don’t want to move, and we don’t feel guilty that young families can’t find their perfect homes.

One day you'll be as anti-social as we are

>Remember that one day, you will be old and will not appreciate younger people trying to force you from the home you worked so hard to buy. Our house will be on the market when *we* are ready.

You're entitled brats for wanting to live where you want, but I should get to

>The retirement center I looked at was full, and, besides, I couldn’t see the mountains from there — one of the reasons I moved to this town in the first place. So I’m alone in a house that’s too big for me, and that’s where, Lord willing, I will stay.

My adult kids store their stuff at my house because they can't afford their own

>Many adult children use their parents’ home as storage.

Yeah it's unaffordable where I live, good thing I already have a house

>But my mortgage payment is lower than the rent for a one-bedroom apartment in my town. I desperately want to downsize, but I can’t afford to do so where I live.

We blocked new construction, but don't point it out!

>I am sorry that families are struggling to find homes, but **this should not be seen as a** zero-sum game. I shouldn’t have to give up my home for young families to find theirs.

We’re seniors. It’s not our responsibility to fix the housing supply.
