Ethanol/GOX Igniter shape
Hey so I'm in charge of designing the igniter for a college team building a 750lbf liquid propulsion engine.
Our igniter will use Ethanol and GOX. Here is my question:
Should we try a Y-shape design or a perpendicular design where oxy and fuel come in at 90 degree angles from each side.
Our O/F will be around 1.4, and chamber pressure should be in the 10-20bar range. As we are at a R1 University, we have access to a lot of manufacturing processes (Metal 3D printing, ect), but we would also like something that can be done pretty quickly.
Would love to hear your thoughts!
