Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was the Last Bastion of Free Speech.
The chat lobbies of that game were the last bastion of unadulterated free speech. People of all different ethnicities, creed and backgrounds would come together say anything! I once had a nine year old Asian kid call me the n-word. The best thing is no one got canceled for it or chat banned.
You try to do this on a game now and you'll likely get chat banned. Let alone if you try doing this in public or online.
That's the thing is we all accepted it, and lived in the harmony of the chaos. Kids and adults screaming and blaring obscenities in the mic. I've heard words that I never thought existed before!
The real world and especially America could take a lesson from the Call of Duty Modern Warfare to chat lobbys about freedom of speech. It's a sad time. It used to be only leftist did this cancel culture stuff, but now even the American right wing is doing this take for example Kirk and how they dedicated a platform for people to report those saying mean things about him.
It's a shame that we'll never expirence free speech like those of us so long ago who experienced it on Xbox. Live on the 360 or the PSN on the PlayStation 3 in those chat lobbies.
